A briefing on Foreign-Funded Projects was held at the Planning and Development Board, Government of Punjab. Minister Finance, Hashim Jawan Bakth and Chief Secretary Punjab Yousaf Naseem Khokhar jointly chaired the meeting. Chairman P&D Habib ur Rehman Gillani, Secretary Finance Hamid Yakoob Sheikh and Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo and other administrative secretaries also attended the meeting.
The briefing was held to keep track of the physical and financial progress and to identify and manage highlights issues or bottlenecks if any. Minister Finance and Chief Secretary appreciated progress in certain areas and emphasized on the importance of timely monitoring and completion of all project related tasks. P&D Chairman Habib-ur-Rehman Gilani, on the occasion, said that such regular updates are important to effectively monitor the implementation of projects, especially foreign-funded projects. This also highlights the transparent process, with strict checks and balances that the government carries out for issues related to development expenditures.
