The Punjab PDWP Approved Five Development Schemes of PPP and Irrigation Sectors

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved five development schemes of Public Private Partnership (PPP) & Irrigation Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 9905.59 Million.

These schemes were approved in the 42nd meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2017-18 presided by the Chairman P&D Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned, Assistant Chief P&D Coordination-II Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting. 

The approved development schemes included:

  • Contract farming through Public Private Partnership (PPP)(PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 20.000 Million
  • Establishment of Agri-Mall at Karkhana Allat-e-Zari Bahawalpur under PPP Mode at the cost of PKR. 18.70 Million
  • Development of tourist resort/entertainment park at Uchali Lake, Soon Valley, District Khushab (PPP Mode) (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 20.080 Million
  • Construction of Dadhocha Dam, Rawalpindi (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 6137.571 Million
  • Extension and rehabilitation of Qutab Drain, District Rajanpur at the cost of PKR. 3709.239 Million
