The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved four development schemes of development sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 5001.685 Million.
The schemes were approved in the 32nd meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17. All members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
- The schemes of Livestock and Dairy Development Sector titled enhancing beef production in Punjab (Phase-II) at the cost of PKR. 561.507 Million
- Improving productivity and fertility of small and large ruminants through encouragement of bull keeping for natural mating at the cost of PKR. 1644.128 Million
- Enhancement of Livestock Production and Productivity through Strategic de-worming and vaccination at the cost of PKR. 2644.700 Million
- Forest Wildlife and Fisheries Sector titled Provision of Alternate Energy Source (Solar Pumps) to fish farmers community of matching grant basis at the cost of PKR. 151.350 Million
