The PDWP Approved Three Development Scheme of Various Sectors

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved three development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 81283.605 Million.

The schemes were approved in the 23rd meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.      

According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:

  • Punjab Irrigated Agriculture Productivity Improvement Project (PIPIP) (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 80850.355 Million
  • Green Pakistan Programme–Revival of Wildlife Resources in Punjab at the cost of PKR. 284.000 Million
  • Mineral Resource Potential of Punjab (MRP): (A) Energy Minerals (B) Metallic Minerals (C) Industrial Minerals (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 149.25 Million
