The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved four development schemes of road sector with an estimated cost of PKR. 2525.451 Million.
The schemes were approved in the 21st meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. All members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
- Construction of overhead bridge at Depalpur Chowk District Okara at the cost of PKR. 740.000 Million
- Rehabilitation/widening and improvement of Bhera Bhalwal Road length 25.22 km, District Sargodha at the cost of PKR. 763.725 Million
- Construction of Arifwala Bye Pass, length: 11.00 km, District Pakpattan at the cost of PKR. 526.710 Million
- Construction of 20ft wide carpet road from Gojra to Tahli Adda via Bosal Masoor, Bosal Sukha, Nakkwal, Chak Alam, Syed, Lakha, Khaddar Gharbi and Link Pull Muhammad Panah to Nakkewal Chowk(Phase-I) length: 16 KM District Mandi Bahauddin at the cost of PKR. 495.016 Million
