Punjab Government Approved Various Development Projects in its Punjab Development Forum Meeting

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved seven development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 15050.899 Million.

The schemes were approved in the 18th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. Secretary P&DD Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.      

According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:

  • Provision of additional class rooms in schools in Tehsils i.e. Multan, Shujabad, Jalalpur Pir Wala, Khanewal, Lodhran & Vehari. (Phase-I) at the cost of PKR. 2297.624 Million
  • Provision of additional class rooms in schools in Tehsils i.e. Bahawalpur, Ahmedpur East, Khairpur Tamewali, Hasilpur, Bahawalnagar and Chishtian (Phase-I) at the cost of PKR. 1924.674 Mllion
  • Provision of additional class rooms in schools in Tehsils i.e. Jhang, T.T. Singh and Gojra (Phase-I) at the cost of PKR. 1904.009 Million
  • Provision of additional class rooms in schools in Tehsils i.e. D.G. Khan, Tanusa Sharif and Kot Chutta (Phase-I) at the cost of PKR. 2857.566 Million
  • Provision of additional class rooms in schools in Tehsils i.e. Sahiwal, Pakpattan and Okara (Phase-I) at the cost of PKR. 1867.382 Million
  • Provision of additional class rooms in schools in Tehsils i.e. Sargodha, Bhalwal, Behra, Kotmomon, Sillanwali, Shahpur, Sahiwal & Khushab (Phase-I) at the cost of PKR. 1741.064 Million
  • Storm Water Drainage System for Haji Camp to River Ravi via Laxmi Chowk, Mcleod Road, Babha Road, Chuburji and Sham Nagar, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 2458.58 Million
