The PDWP Approved Six Development Schemes of Various Development Sectors

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved Six development schemes of various development sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 86945.907 Million.

These schemes were approved in the 18th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.

Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.

According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:

  • Solar solution for off grid schools in Punjab at the cost of PKR. 1413.231 Million
  • Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project (from Ali Town to Dera Gujran) (Bridge Finance Facility to Civil Contractors of LDA from the Bank of Punjab) at the cost of PKR. 312.750 Million
  • Study for establishment of a model mine based on semi-mechanized mining techniques in Salt Range, Khushab/Chakwal (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 23.500 Million
  • Establishment of Institute of Urology and Transplantation, Rawalpindi (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 4549.964
  • Expanded Program on Immunization, Punjab (EPI) at the cost of PKR. 80,590.00 Million
  • Hiring of consultants for review/updation of request for proposal (RFP) for selection of Sponsors(s) for 120 MW Taunsa Hydro Power Project (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 56.462 Million
