The Provincial Development Working Party Punjab approved twenty seven development schemes of various development sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 26,090.972 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 6th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi. Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretary concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
- Sewerage Scheme Rahim Yar Khan City with Treatment Plant-Construction of Intermediate Sewage Pumping Station near Niazi Colony and Installation of Force Main, R.Y. Khan at the cost of PKR. 288.022 Million
- Internal Merit Scholarships for EE/SE Students at the cost of PKR. 600.000 million, Taleem Sab Kay Liye (TSKL) at the cost of PKR. 351.524 Million
- Restructuring/revamping and Strengthening of Punjab Economic Research Institute at the cost of PKR. 250.000 Million, Establishment of Model Cattle Market Sammundri Road, Faisalabadat the cost of PKR. 320.777 Million
- Establishment of Blood Center at Faisalabad with Assistance of KFW at the cost of PKR. 388.789 Million
- National Blood Transfusion Service Project, Punjab at the cost of PKR. 276.919 Million
- Optimizing watercourse conveyance efficiency through enhancing lining length at the cost of PKR. 9316.491 Million
- Provision of laser landl evelers to the farmers/service providers on Subsidized Cost at the cost of PKR. 1350.00 Million, lining of watercourses Chak No.469/GB, Sammundri, District Faisalabad at the cost of PKR. 34.904 Million
- 50 Overseas PhD Scholarships for University of Agriculture, Faisalabad at the cost of PKR. 724.031 Million
- Promotion of Agriculture Mechanization in Punjab at the cost of PKR. 1184.000 Million, Punjab E-Gateway Project (E-Government Initiatives) (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 1459.696 Million
- Construction/rehabilitation of road from Haire to Sui-e-Asal length 15.30 km, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 378.152 Million
- Rehabilitation of road from Raiwind to Pattoki length: 44.20 kms, District Kasur at the cost of PKR. 1339.901 Million
- Construction of Flyover at Sublime Chowk on Sialkot-Wazirabad Road, Sialkot. (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 13.500 Million
- Dualization of Provincial Highway from Arifwala to Boundary of Bahawal Nagar, length: 21.50 km in District Pakpattan at the cost of PKR. 962.986 Million
- Widening/improvement of road from Khushab to Sandral, Rajar Road and Ahmad Abad Motorway Interchange, length: 33.50 km, District Khushab at the cost of PKR. 457.473 Million
- Widening/improvement of road from Faisal Chowk to Darya Khan Road length: 50.00 km, District Bhakkar at the cost of PKR. 1272.320 Million
- Rehabilitation/ re-construction of road from Faisalabad to Lahore Road alongwith Canal Bank length: 28.47 km District Sargodha at the cost of PKR. 776.292 Million
- Construction of dual carriageway from Teen Meela to Sanjwal length: 4.50 km District Attock at the cost of PKR. 306.439 Million
- Construction of metaled road from Awan Kot Choubora Road Adda Panwar Wala to Janay Wala via Adda Shumar Wala length: 30 km, Tehsil Choubara, District Layyah at the cost of PKR. 256.476 Million
- Construction of metaled road from MM Road to Head Mast Ali via 456/TDA, length: 26.75 km, District Layyah at the cost of PKR. 220.725 Million
- Construction of metaled road from Head Lal to Bangla Yasmeen via Sahran More Chak No. 451/TDA, 449/TDA, 447/TDA Patti Arain, length= 40.32 km, Tehsil Choubara, District Layyah at the cost of PKR. 337.494 Million
- Widening and improvement (dualization) of road from Chak No. 97-M, Chamb More, Chamb Kaliar, Kaliar Chowk, Mughalanwala Chowk Sheikhu Pull to Khanwah Ghalwan, length: 20.00 km, District Lodhran at the cost of PKR. 328.066 Million
- Dualization of Shahi Road from Rahimyar Khan to Chowk Bahadarpur (KLP Road) (length: 12.20 km) Rahimyar Khan at the cost of PKR. 2670.391 Million
- Widening and improvement of road from Gojra Khidar Wala Road to Raja Chowk Tehsil Boundary via Chak No. 370 /JB (Ghania), Bye Pass, Chak No.49/GB (Chowinda) Chak No.178/GB (Gogha) and Chak No.242/GB (Noor Pur Basti) length: 19.00 km, Tehsil Gojra, District T.T. Singh at the cost of PKR. 225.604 Million
