The Provincial Development Working Party Punjab approved eight development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 4355.824 Million. These schemes were approved in the 39th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi. Provincial Secretary P&D Dr. Aamir Ahmed, Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretary concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
- Survey, Soil Investigation and Detail Architectural / Structural Designing of Construction of Parking Plazas with Shopping Malls at, Faisalabad. (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 19.510 Million
- Construction of Bridge and Road at Hadyara Drain Eden Abad, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 252.000 Million
- Establishment of Punjab Prisons Staff Training College at Sahiwal at the cost of PKR. 1127.805 Million
- Widening / Improvement of road from Faisalabad By-Pass to Mari Pattan, length: 53.41 km, Faisalabad at the cost of PKR. 1104.204 Million
- Widening / Improvement of road from Chak No. 90/RB to 99/RB to 99/RB via 91/RB, 93/RB, 94/RB, 96/RB, 97/RB, length: 26.20 km District Faisalabad at the cost of PKR. 212.648 Million
- Widening / Improvement of road from Chak No. 76/GB to Dijkot-Pansera road via 76/GB, 79/GB, 80/GB, 82/GB, 83/GB, 84/GB, 85/GB, 86/GB, Khundian, 249/RB, Chohta Balochwala, 242/RB, Dassuha, 247/RB Miani, 251/RB, 251/RB Kang Khurd, 256/RB Dhengan Wala upto Dijkot Pensera Road, length: 46 km, District Faisalabad at the cost of PKR. 306.268 Million
- Rehabilitation / Repair of Metalled road from Tarku Adda to Kharkan Road Chak no. 501/TDA length 33.00 in District Layyah at the cost of PKR. 255.007 Million and Widening/Improvement of Tibba Sultan Pur to Luddan Road via Mitroo from km 9.35 to 43.40 & 44.80 to 65.25, Lenght: 54.50 km, I/C W/I of link road Karam Pur to Burana L=8.80 km, W/I of road from Basti Burana to Mouza Dhallan Darbar Hazrat Abu Bakar with Link Road in District Vehari length: 69.20 km at the cost of PKR. 1078.382 Million
