The Provincial Development Working Party Punjab approved twenty six development schemes of various development sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 39651.675 Million. These schemes were approved in the 36th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi. Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretary concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
- Widening/improvement of road from Gujranwala-Hafizabad road Bheri More to Gujranwala Alipur Chattah road via Chandreka and Bheri Shah Rehman km No.0/0 to 22.56 km, length: 22.56 km in District Gujranwala at the cost of PKR. 311.937 Million
- Feasibility–Master Planning for Establishment of Lahore Knowledge Park at Dera Rakh Chahl, Lahore (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 56.072 Million
- Construction of Multan Metro Project Corridor-I: BZU to Kumharan Chowk passing through the Major Intersections of Northern Bypass, Chungi No.6, Chungi No.9, Fish Market, Daulat Gate, Chungi No.14, BCG Chowk and Vehari Chowk, approximate length: 18.5 km (Package 1:Bahauddin Zakaria University to Chungi No.6, length=5.625 km) (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 6145.44 Million
- Construction of Multan Metro Project Corridor-I: BZU to Kumharan Chowk passing through the Major Intersections of Northern Bypass, Chungi No.6, Chungi No.9, Fish Market, Daulat Gate, Chungi No.14, BCG Chowk and Vehari Chowk, approximate length: 18.5 km (Package 2: Chungi No.6 to Fish Market, length: 3.475 km) (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 4916.69 Million

- Widening/improvement of road from Ilahi Bakhsh Chowk (46/12 L) to 59/12l via Pull 50-More and 56-A/12 L Madhial, length: 22.70 km, District Sahiwal (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 209.482 Million
- Up-Gradation of Un-Manned and Manned Level Crossings in the Interest of Public Safety (Punjab Province) at the cost of PKR. 634.686 Million
- Widening/Improvement of road from Kahna Katcha road to Halloki Railway Crossing (part a) in District Lahore at the cost of PKR. 143.510 Million
- Dualization of road Jandiala Sher Khan, Hiran Minaar, Minor Road to Chichoki Mallian via Allama Mashariki Park along Railway Line length: 11.15 km, District Sheikhupura at the cost of PKR. 471.540 Million
- Construction of Dual Carriageway (Widening & Improvement) of road from Kingra to Sialkot length: 31.50 km (Stretch from km No. 0.00 to 10.10 length: 10.10 km) District Sialkot at the cost of PKR. 296.043 Million
