The Punjab Government approved eight development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 4616.093 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 26th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2014-15 held at P&D Complex Lahore, said P&D spokesman.
Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
- Acquisition of land for establishment of 2x55 MW Imported Coal Power Project near Sunder Industrial Estate, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 345.000 Million
- Establishment of PMU and Appointment of Consultant for Cancer Hospital at Lahore (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 117.437 Million
- Enhancing the Capacity of Charrar Drain to Cater for Rain Water of Ring Road (Package-A&B) Lahore (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 506.734 Million
- Up-gradation of Botanical Garden Jallo, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 262.115 Million
- Construction of road from Narowal to Lahore via Baddomalhi-Narang-Kala Khatai Shahdara (length: 42-71 km) in District Narowal / Sheikhupura at the cost of PKR. 922.948 Million
- Rehabilitation of road from Lower Topa (Danna) to Gulehra Gali to Patriata Top length: 17 km, (Revised) Rawalpindi at the cost of PKR. 273.908 Million
- Construction of road and bridge between District Mianwali and Jand (District Attock) (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 2117.258 Million
- Development of surface parking at Murree (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 70.693 Million
