The Punjab Government approved eleven development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 5242.503 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 23rd meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, says P&D Spokesman. Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
- Construction of 01 No.s District & Sessions Judge Court, 05 Nos. AD&SJ Courts, 1 No. Senior Civil Judge Court and 12 No.s Civil Judges Courts at Gujrat at the cost of PKR. 217.146 Million,
- Construction/widening of road from Lahore Ferozepur Road Kahna to Halloki along both sides of Butchar Kahna Distributary (length: 8.50 km), Lahore at the cost of PKR. 935.634 Million
- Widening/improvement of road from Yazman to Ahmedpur East (length: 61.90 km), District Bahawalpur at the cost of PKR. 1798.495 Million
- Master planning, architectural and engineering design for new schemes of Sports Sector (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 33.683 Million
- Master planning, architectural, engineering design and multimedia/ITdDesign for e-Libraries in various playfields and parks of Punjab (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 11.633 Million
- Third Party Validation of Sector (works completed or executed more Than 75 % of Sports PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 19.972 Million
- Engagement of consultants for validation of works of Sports Sector (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 14.872 Million
- Construction of R.C.C. Drain Qila Mian Singh Minor from Rajkot Disposal Station to Western Bypass, Gujranwala at the cost of PKR. 911.383 Million
- Rehabilitation of Airport Road from Ammar Chowk to Karal Chowk, Rawalpindi at the cost of PKR. 549.992 Million
- Provision of drainage/sewerage, Solling & Water Supply in Municipal Area of Burewala City District Vehari at the cost of PKR. 349.693 Million
- Scaling up Pakistan approach to total Sanitation (PATS) in Punjab, Open Defecation Free (ODF) at the cost of PKR. 400.000 Million
