Punjab Government Approved Five Development Schemes of Different Development Sectors

The Punjab Government approved five development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 1427.176 Million.

These schemes were approved in the 21st meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, says P&D spokesman. Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.

According to spokesman for P&D, the approved development schemes included:

  • Technical Assistance for Multi-Tranche Financing Facility (MFF) for Punjab Cities Improvement Investment Program (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 93.220 Million
  • Faisalabad Link Road Development Project (FLRDP) at the cost of PKR. 493.707 Million
  • Rehabilitation/improvement of High Court Road from G.T. Road to Car Chowk with Additional length upto Chaklala Scheme-III, length: 4.31 km, Rawalpindi at the cost of PKR. 379.347 Million,
  • Remodeling 3 No. Aqueducts on B.S. Link Canal District Kasur at the cost of PKR. 449.473 Million
  • Feasibility Study for Identification of Potential Areas for Promotion of Tourism (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 11.429 Million
