The Punjab Government on Friday approved five development schemes of different development sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 9940.639 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 9th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, says P&D Spokesman. Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Choudhary, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to spokesman for P&D, the approved development schemes included:
- Construction of Flyover (Complete Signal-Free Interchange) at Aziz Cross on G.T. Road, Gujranwala at the cost of PKR. 5753.387 Million
- Design of Remedial Measures for Dewal Landslide on RMK Road km 86 and Remedial Measures for Kohala Bridle Road (Upper Dewal Bazar, Murree) (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 55.472 Million,
- Taleem Sab K Liye (literacy through collaboration of civil society) at the cost of PKR. 792.222 Million
- Provision of Missing Specialties for Up-Gradation of DHQ Hospital to Teaching Hospital Gujranwala at the cost of PKR. 3126.802 Million
- Up-gradation of THQ Hospital Hasilpur from 40-bedded to 80-Bedded Hospital at the cost of PKR. 212.756 Million
