The Punjab Government on Tuesday has approved ten development schemes with an estimated cost of PKR. 55100.324 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 20th meeting of Provincial Development working Party of current fiscal year 2013-14 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, says P&D spokesman. Provincial Secretary P&D Arif Anwar Baloch, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to handout issued by the spokesman P&D Department, the approved development schemes included:
- Punjab Youth Internship Program (Phase-II) at the cost of PKR. 1480.616 Million
- Pothohar Climate Smart Irrigated Agriculture Program (Concept Paper) at the cost of PKR. 42000.00 Million
- Project Preparation for Punjab Irrigated Agriculture Investment Program (PIAIP) (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 961.000 Million
- Feasibility Study of Jalalpur Canal (PPTA) Jhelum, Khushab, Pind Dadan Khan (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 88.100 Million
- Widening and improvement of Sialkot Wazirabad Rasul Nagar Kot Harra Jalalpur Bhattian Road (Section Qadirabad Road to Jalalpur Bhattian) km No. 92/00 to 133/09=41/09 kms, District Hafizabad (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 285.129 Million
- Widening and improvement of road from Shahpur Sadar to Jhawarian Via Lak More and Village Kalra (Phase-I & II) length km 28.55 in District Sargodha (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 380.161 Million
- Widening and improvement of road from Chak No. 217/TDA (Multan Mianwali Road) to Samtia More (Karor Bakhar Road) length: 24.40 km in District Layyah (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 370.048 Million
- Dualization of eastern side bypass length: 14.25 kms in District Gujranwala (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 913.384 Million, Construction of Signal Free Junctions at Qainchi, Ghazi Road and Khaira, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 5897.539 Million
- Establishment of garment cluster/industrial zone, District Sheikhupura at the cost of PKR. 2724.347 Million
