The Punjab Government on Wednesday has approved six development schemes of various Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 5800.126 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 16th meeting of Provincial Development working Party of current fiscal year 2013-14 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi. Provincial Secretary P&D Arif Anwar Baloch, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to handout issued by the spokesman P&D Department, the approved development schemes included:
- Feasibility for the establishment of National Safari Park Near Kallar Kahar, District Chakwal (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 2.000 Million
- Enhancing Capacity of Shahdara Railway Bridge and old G.T. Road Bridge on Ravi in Lahore at the cost of PKR. 3662.035 Million
- Construction of J-Head Spur and Excavation of Cunette to Streamline River flow away from Left Bank of River Indus near Village Aluwali Dhingana & Doaba in District Mianwali at the cost of PKR. 357.922 Million
- Establishment of 60 bedded Hospital at Sabzazar scheme Lahore at the cost of PKR. 277.482 Million
- Widening/improvement of Gujranwala-Pasrur Road, km No. 0/00 to 46/00 in District Gujranwala and Sialkot (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 1153.728 Million
- Rehabilitation/widening/improvement of Khushab Muzaffar Garh Road km No. 179.73 to 207.72 length: 26.89 km, District Jhang at the cost of PKR. 346.959 Million
