The Punjab Government on Tuesday has approved five development schemes of Energy Sector, Road Sector, Irrigation and P&D Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 29753.904 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 14th meeting of Provincial Development working Party of current fiscal year 2013-14 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi. Provincial Secretary P&D Arif Anwar Baloch, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to handout issued by the spokesman P&D Department, the approved development schemes included:
- Sustainable Land Management Programme to Combat Desertification in Pakistan (Punjab) at the cost of PKR. 342.680 Million
- Construction of Additional Bridge over River Ravi at the cost of PKR. 798.340 Million
- Lahore Ring Road Project-Southern Loop (Package-1) (Land Acquisition and Relocation of Utilities) (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 9958.896 Million
- Lahore Ring Road Project-Southern Loop (Package-2) (Land Acquisition and Relocation of Utilities) (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 9983.460 Million
- Lahore Ring Road Project-Southern Loop (Package-3) (Land Acquisition and Relocation of Utilities) at the cost of PKR. 8670.528 Million
