Chairman P&D Board, Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, chaired a meeting regarding the Punjab Climate Resilient and Low Carbon Agriculture Project.
Principal Natural Resources and AgricultureEconomist Asian Development Bank Mr. Shingo Kimura and Senior Natural Resources Specialist ADB Ms. Noriko Sato headed the mission.
Secretary P&D Board, Dr. Asif Tufail, Member of Agriculture Mr. Aslam Javaid, representatives from the ADB, the P&D Board, the Agriculture Department, and others participated.
The project aims to enhance small farmers' access to advanced agricultural machinery by providing financial support to service providers, enabling farmer groups to acquire imported equipment. It will also promote adoption among farmers through demonstrations and subsidies on machine rental charges.
Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan stated that the Government of Punjab's top priority is to provide the best facilities to farmers and to engage them in increasing quality and quantity in agricultural production.
Both sides looking forward to a mutual understanding.
