Member Health & Nutrition P&D Board Mr. Shafaat Ali chaired the meeting with the ADB mission to discuss the Punjab Nursing and Health Workforce Performance Program. The program focuses on empowering nurses, improving the quality of healthcare workers, and enhancing patient safety. Key initiatives include establishing a Center of Excellence for nursing education and preparing nurses for international employment to boost remittances. The Chair highlighted the need for 9 million nurses worldwide by 2030, as per the WHO report. Member Health Mr. Shafat Ali emphasized the need to strengthen the program to create a greater impact on Punjab's healthcare sector. Representatives from P&DB, ADB, FD and others concerned participated.
