British High Commission (BHC) Delegation Visits P&D Board to Discuss Climate Action & Financing 🌍🌳☘️🌲

A high-level delegation from the British High Commission, FCDO, led by Director Development Ms. Jo Moir, met with Secretary P&D Board Dr. Asif Tufail to discuss the report on the Cost of Climate Inaction and CIFPAK TA. The meeting focused on highlighting the facts and figures of the report, climate financing, prioritizing action areas, and boosting private sector investments. In meeting the Initiatives such as the CM Punjab Green Credit Program, Environment Endowment Fund, and Climate Financing Unit were highlighted as crucial steps in addressing climate financing. Secretary P&D Board, Dr. Asif Tufail, highlighted the Punjab Government's commitment to climate-resilient financing, marking a significant milestone in climate action continue journey. Both sides also discussed future collaboration on climate financing. The FCDO delegation included Mr. Ben Warrington (Head of Lahore Office), Ms. Aysha Johnson (Private Sector Team Lead), Ms. Anastasiya Kretova (CIFPAK Adviser), and Ms. Rabiya Malik (Engagement and Policy Lead), alongside other key figures from the P&D Board, including JCE Mr. Imtiaz Ahmad, DS P&DB Mr. Omar Liaquat Randhawa, and other relevant stakeholders.
