The PDWP Approves Five Development Schemes Worth Over Rs. 39.73 Billion

In the 63rd meeting of the current fiscal year 2024-25, the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP), chaired by Chairman P&D Board, Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, approved five development schemes amounting to Rs. 39,730.295 million. The approved schemes include: 1) Construction of Road from Bahawalpur (N-5) to Jhangrah Sharqi Interchange (KLM), Length: 42.00 km, District Bahawalpur, at the cost of Rs. 4,933.241 million. 2) Dualization of Mian Channu (N-5) to Abdul Hakim Interchange (M-4) via Tulamba, Length: 30.40 km, District Khanewal, at the cost of Rs. 3,039.284 million. 3) Dualization of Road from Gujranwala to M-2 Interchange at Kot Sarwar via Hafizabad (Km No. 6.20 to 80.35), Length: 74.15 km, District Gujranwala & Hafizabad, at the cost of Rs. 13,231 million. 4) Dualization of Sargodha Khushab Mianwali Road, Length: 60.43 km, District Khushab, at the cost of Rs. 11,806.516 million. 5) Widening/Improvement of Road from Sialkot Cantt to Jassar Garrison, Length: 69.00 km, District Sialkot & Narowal, at the cost of Rs. 7,058.945 million. The meeting was attended by Secretary P&D Board Dr. Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Mr. Masood Anwar, members of the P&D Board, and other senior officers.
