Secretary P&D Board, Dr. Asif Tufail, welcomed the delegation and chaired the meeting. The mission reviewed the progress of the Southern Punjab Poverty Alleviation Project (SPPAP) and applauded its outstanding performance. The mission stated that the project is on track, with impressive results in poverty alleviation. The Chair highlighted that nearly 400,000 houses have been built for the poor, showing a significant grassroots impact. The project, which covers 10 districts in South Punjab, is empowering communities and improving all sectors. The mission also discussed the second phase of the project. Both sides are looking forward to continued mutual understanding. IFAD mission members, including Ghulam Nabi Marri (Mission Leader), Qaim Shah (Team Leader), and other specialists, participated in the discussions, focusing on financial management, monitoring, gender inclusion, food bank , ICT and more.
