Secretary P&D Board Dr. Asif Tufail chaired the meeting on the proposed Punjab Climate Resilient and Low Carbon Agriculture Mechanization Project. A detailed discussion was held on the project, which aims to purchase high-tech machinery, establish a testing center, and build a speed breeding system. The Chair also highlighted the further scope of the project, which includes improving access for small farmers to advanced and sustainable mechanization services, establishing a circular agriculture model to reduce carbon emissions, and enhancing resource efficiency. Additionally, the project aims to strengthen institutional capacity to promote resilient and low-carbon agriculture and demonstrate advanced machinery. The meeting was attended by representatives of the concerned departments.
