The PDWP Greenlights Three Mega Development Projects Worth Rs 16 Billion In a significant boost to public welfare and economic development, the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved three major schemes totaling Rs 16 billion during its 79th meeting of the fiscal year 2024–25. The meeting was chaired by Chairman Planning & Development Board, Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan. The schemes include: 1. Community Empowerment and Expansion of Healthcare Access through Maryam Nawaz Health Clinic (Revised) – A transformative initiative aimed at enhancing primary healthcare access, with an allocated budget of Rs 9 billion. 2. CM Stunting Reduction Programme for 11 Southern Districts of Punjab – Targeting malnutrition and childhood stunting, this program has been approved at a cost of Rs 2.5 billion. 3. Aquaculture Shrimp Farming in Punjab – With an allocation of Rs 4.4991 billion, this project is set to revolutionize inland shrimp farming and promote aquaculture as a viable economic sector. The meeting was attended by Secretary P&D Board Dr. Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Masood Anwar, board members, and senior officers.
