The 3rd Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting of the Punjab Family Planning Project (PFPP) was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Planning & Development Board Dr. Asif Tufail. Project Director PFPP Capt (R) Dr Usman Ali Khan provided a detailed briefing on the agenda items. The Chair emphasized the project's core mission to improve family health by expanding access to quality family planning services, particularly targeting rural and marginalized communities. It is pertinent to mention that the Punjab Family Planning Project (PFPP) aims to reduce maternal risks, expand access to family planning services in rural and underserved areas, address social and cultural barriers to contraception, strengthen the capacity of rural healthcare providers, raise public awareness through strategic communication, and promote long-term impact through research and innovation. The PSC approved the agenda items and directed that the project targets be achieved in a timely manner. The meeting was attended by DG Population Ms. Saman Rai, Member Health P&D Board Mr. Shafaat Ali, Senior Chief Health Ms. Uzma, DG Health Mr. Khalil Ahmad, Special Secretary Health Mr. Barak Ullah, Chief Health P&D Ms. Bushra, Consultant Health P&DB Ms. Zara, and other concerned participants.
