The PDWP Approves Rs 13.675 Billion for 9 Major Roads Development Schemes

The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP), chaired by Chairman P&D Board Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, has approved nine development schemes worth Rs 13.675 billion in its 81st meeting of FY 2024–25. Here are the approved schemes: 1. Dualization of Lahore–Jaranwala Road from Mandi Faizabad to Mangranwala (14.61 km), District Nankana Sahib – Rs 1,163.100 million 2. Rehabilitation of Sahiwal–Arifwala Road to Harappa Bypass via Malan Shah Chowk (26.00 km), District Sahiwal – Rs 1,094.087 million 3. Rehabilitation of Road from Sheikhupura–Sargodha Road to Tehsil Safdarabad (23.75 km), District Sheikhupura – Rs 1,511.698 million 4. Rehabilitation of Safdarabad–Manawala Road (19.50 km), District Sheikhupura – Rs 1,178.636 million 5. Rehabilitation of Road from Chiniot to Tahli Adda via Sial More, Midh Ranjha, Hilalpur (34.00 km in different reaches), District Sargodha – Rs 1,941.367 million 6. Widening & Improvement of Sahiwal–Shahpur Road (34.40 km), District Sargodha – Rs 1,882.964 million 7. Rehabilitation of Sangla Hill–Safdarabad Road (14.05 km), District Nankana Sahib – Rs 1,220.477 million 8. Rehabilitation of Tandlianwala to Kamalia Road via Mamukanjan (59.00 km), District Faisalabad – Rs 1,818.892 million 9. Dualization of Taxila–H.M.C Farooqia Road (10.80 km), District Rawalpindi – Rs 1,864.416 million Chairman P&D Board said that the approved schemes reflect the Government of Punjab commitment to improving road connectivity, regional accessibility, and economic development across Punjab. The meeting was attended by Secretary P&D Board Dr. Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Masood Anwar, members P&D Board and others senior officers.
