A follow-up meeting regarding the proposed Establishment of Climate Observatory in Punjab was presided over by Secretary P&D Board, Dr. Asif Tufail. 🌍🌱♻️🌲 During the meeting, it was shared that the observatory would focus on 14 key thematic areas related to climate change, playing a vital role in supporting data-driven environmental policy. The Secretary P&D Board emphasized the need for a strong legal framework to ensure that the observatory’s recommendations are implemented efficiently and effectively. He also highlighted the importance of having a clear operational model and a well-defined roadmap to ensure the long-term success of the project. The meeting concluded with suggestions from the Chair for additions to the project, and participants look forward to further discussions in upcoming meetings.
