Chairman P&D Board, Dr. Naeem Rauf, chaired a wrap-up meeting with the ADB Pre-Fact Finding Mission, led by Senior Natural Resources & Agriculture Specialist Mr. Shingo Kimura, to discuss the proposed Punjab Climate-Resilient and Low Carbon Agriculture Mechanization Project. The meeting covered key areas, including project scope, financing plan, implementation strategy, environmental and social safeguards, and legal covenants. The project aims to 🌱 boost agricultural productivity, 🌦️ strengthen climate resilience, and reduce food insecurity in Punjab. Importantly, the project will promote quality standards for agri-machinery, support service providers in acquiring modern equipment, and train operators for effective and sustainable machinery use. Smallholders will also be engaged to ensure widespread impact at the grassroots level. Both sides looking forward to move the project efficiently and effectively.
