Demonstrating a strong commitment to Punjab’s development agenda, the 5th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) for the fiscal year 2025–26 was convened under the chairmanship of Chairman P&D Board Dr. Naeem Rauf. The forum approved 12 development schemes and 01 position paper, with a cumulative estimated cost of Rs. 19,888.314 million. ✅ Approved Development Schemes and Cleared Position Paper: 1. Smart Safe Cities – CM Tehsil Projects in Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Rawalpindi – Rs. 15,256.200 million 2. 🚓 Smart Safe Cities – CM Tehsil Project (Sahiwal) – Position Paper for approval of posts & vehicles 3. Uplifting of Neela Gumbad Area along with Provision of Underground Parking Facility in Lahore – Rs. 2,244.114 million 4. 🏛️ Restoration of Historic Zones of Lahore (including New Anarkali and Old Anarkali facades, Jain Mandir, Pan Gall, Bakhshi Market, Bible Society) – Rs. 1,000.000 million 5. 🧩 Construction and Establishment of Autism School in Lahore – Rs. 1,388.000 million 👥 The meeting was attended by Secretary P&D Board Mr. Rafaqat Ali, CEO Urban Unit Mr. Omar Masud, DG LDA Mr Tahir Farooq, Chief Economist Mr. Masood Anwar, members of the P&D Board, and other senior officers.
