Secretary P&D Board Mr. Rafaqat Ali, chaired the Pre-PDWP meeting to review the revised PC-I of the scheme titled “Establishment of Aquaculture Malls in Punjab.” DG Fisheries, Mr. Saleem Afzal, briefed the Chair on the proposed mechanism for setting up modern aquaculture facilities in Mouza Khanpur and Rakh Ali Wali tehsil Ali Pur, District Muzaffargarh. The Features of Aquaculture Malls: ✅ Access to aquaculture inputs, tools, and machinery ✅ Training programs for 100+ farmers at each site ✅ Facilities for soil, water, disease, and feed analysis The Chair stressed that these malls aim to promote sustainable fish farming and boost the blue economy in South Punjab. Senior Chief (Environment & Climate Change), Ms. Nadia Shafiq, Senior Chief (Consultancy), Ms. Shafaq Saleem and other relevant stakeholders participated in the meeting.
