Pre-PDWP meeting to review the proposed scheme titled “𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐛.”

Secretary P&D Board Mr. Rafaqat Ali chaired a Pre-PDWP meeting to review the proposed scheme titled “𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐣𝐚𝐛.” The meeting aimed to assess the scope, objectives, and sustainability strategy of the initiative. 📊 During the meeting, the Chair discussed the proposed development of seven focus areas/labs within the Makerspace. These include: 1️⃣ CNC Lab 2️⃣ 3D Printing Lab 3️⃣ Internet of Things (IoT) 4️⃣ Robotics 5️⃣ Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) 6️⃣ Usability Lab 7️⃣ Manufacturing & Prototyping Lab These specialized labs are intended to foster innovation, hands-on learning, and digital fabrication capabilities. 💡 It was shared that approximately 300 individuals will be trained through a series of workshops, prototype development exercises, and university-industry collaboration. The program is designed to promote skills development, entrepreneurship, and research-driven product innovation. The Chair emphasized that the project is envisioned to achieve 60% self-sustainability by the end of its implementation phase, ensuring its long-term viability and impact. ♻️ The meeting was attended by Sr. Chief (RP) Mr. Mahmood Ul Hassan, Director General e-Governance PITB Mr. Sajid Latif, Chief Technical Mr. Abid Inayat, Chief IT Mr Shakeel Nouman and other concerned officers. 👥
