The PDWP Approves 7 Mega Schemes Worth Over Rs 13 Billion The 18th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) for FY 2025–26, chaired by Dr. Naeem Rauf, Chairman P&D Board Punjab, has approved 7 landmark projects totaling Rs 13,477.869 million — marking a significant stride in heritage preservation, environmental protection, and economic growth. The approved schemes relate to Archaeology, Environment, Urban Development, and Women Development sectors: 👇 1️⃣ Preservation & Upgradation of World Heritage Site Taxila, Rawalpindi – Rs 4,198.577m 2️⃣ Preservation & Upgradation of Rohtas Fort, Jhelum – Rs 2,836.108m 3️⃣ Preservation & Upgradation of Hiran Minar, Sheikhupura – Rs 1,823.090m 4️⃣ Preservation & Upgradation of Harappa, Sahiwal – Rs 1,720.094m 5️⃣ Installation of 25 AQM5 Units under the World Bank’s PCAP – Rs 2,900m 6️⃣ Construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant at Babu Sabu, Lahore – Recommended for CDWP 7️⃣ Establishment of Business Incubation Centers (WBIC) – Phase 1 – Position paper approved for posts & vehicles 📝 The meeting was attended by Secretary P&D Board Mr. Rafaqat Ali, Chief Economist Mr. Masood Anwar, members of the P&D Board, and other senior officers.
