A review meeting on the Punjab Governmentโs Annual Development Plan (ADP) 2025โ26 was held at the AKS Auditorium, Planning & Development Department, Lahore. The Chairman P&D Board Punjab Dr. Naeem Rauf chaired the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to review Punjabโs overall development profile focus on the status of ADP 2025โ26 in terms of budget allocations, releases, and utilization. During the briefing it was informed that against 1635 un-approved schemes, the total budget allocated for ADP 2025โ26 was Rs. 1240 billion, while P&D releases at Rs. 535.98 billion. Chairman P&D Board, Dr. Naeem Rauf, expressed concern over the slow pace of fund placement and utilization at the spending level. He directed the representatives of concerned departments to expedite these processes to ensure timely completion of development schemes. ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐&๐ ๐๐จ๐๐ซ๐โ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ Chairman P&D Board Dr. Naeem Rauf said, โFor the first time in the history of P&D Board, PDWP meetings are being held thrice a week, which reflects our determination & commitment to accelerate the approval process to ensure timely completion of these schemes. He further added that the P&D Board is also taking steps to launch the โOne Map for Punjabโ initiative, which aims to digitize schemes in a geo-technical manner.โ The Chairman P&D Board further stressed that bottlenecks causing delays in the submission of Planning Commission (PC-I) must be addressed promptly so that ADP implementation is not hampered. The meeting was attended by Administrative Secretaries, Members of the P&D Board, and senior officers of the concerned departments.
