Secretary P&D Board Mr. Rafaqat Ali chaired a meeting with the World Bank's preparation mission for the Pakistan Finance for Lowering Emissions in the Water Sector (Pak-FLOW) Project. The mission aims to: ✅ Integrate methane abatement into the WASH and Solid Waste Management sectors through results-based climate finance (RBCF) and carbon market payments. ✅ Develop Pakistan’s readiness framework for Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and a national strategy to access the international carbon market. 🔹 Secretary P&D Board Mr. Rafaqat Ali said that the Pak-FLOW initiative will play a vital role in promoting climate-smart practices, strengthening Punjab’s access to international carbon markets, and aligning development with global sustainability goals. Sr. Chief Environment & CC Ms. Nadia Shafiq, Sr. Water Supply Specialist WB Mr. Farhan Sami, Sr. Climate Specialist WB Mr. Adeel Abbas, and representatives of EPD, HUD, LG, and other concerned departments participated.
