Punjab Government Approved Various Development Schemes of Different development Sectors

The Provincial Development Working Party Punjab approved five development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 12804.482 Million.

These schemes were approved in the 34th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2014-15. Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.

According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:

  • Construction of Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery Block at B.V. Hospital Bahawalpur. (Revised) at cost of  PKRs. 1491.089 Million 
  • Construction of THQ Hospital Sarai Alamgir, District Gujrat at cost of PKR. 229.497 Million 
  • Integrated Reproductive Maternal Newborn & Child Health (RMNCH) & Nutrition Program at cost of PKR 9135.006 Million 
  • Construction of flood embankments and protection works along left and right bank of River Indus for bridge near Miranpur Linkage N-5 at Arbi Tibba with Rahimyarkhan Iqbalabad at cost of PKR 866.896 Million 
  • Dualization of Lahore-Faisalabad-Jhang-Bhakkar Road (Section Faisalabad By-Pass Sadar Chowk to Jhang City Phase-I) from 155.75 to 170.45 km, upto (M-4) length:14.70 km, Faisalabad at cost of PKR. 1081.994 Million
