The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved eight development schemes of various development sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 6112.263 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 14th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi. Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
- Augmentation/improvement of Disposal Stations Multan Phase-I at the cost of PKR. 620.050 Million
- Establishment of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture, Multan (Phase-II) at the cost of PKR. 1363.167 Million
- Construction of offices of Dolphin Squad, Sadar Division Lahore at the cost of PKR. 210.416 Million
- Construction of offices of Dolphin Squad, Model Town & Cantt: Division and Centralized Hqrs (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 403.592 Million
- Construction of High Security Prison in Northern Punjab (one at Mianwali) at the cost of PKR. 1193.492 Million
- Construction of Academic Block of Nawaz Sharif Medical College, Gujrat at the cost of PKR. 693.176 Million
- Establishment of Nursing College with Hostel and Paramedical School with Hostel at Government Teaching Hospital Shahdara, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 229.407 Million
- Comprehensive TB Control Program in Punjab (2015-16 to 2017/18) at the cost of PKR. 1398.933 Million
