The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved eight development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 13559.026 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 16th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
- Construction of Minor Karkan Kartar Pur Chak 177 to Kartar Pur, Nankana Sahib at the cost of PKR. 357.13 Million
- Extension of water facilities in extended controlled area recently notified by Punjab Government at the cost of PKR. 250.523 Million
- Provision of Sewerage System for UC-117, 118, and 120, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 7610.873 Million
- Construction of flyover at Katcha Jail Road Crossing and Improvement of At-Grade Road Network, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 1052.685 Million
- Replacement of outlived rusty and leaking pipelines and extension of distribution system (New) in leftover areas with Allied Works in WASA Jurisdiction, Rawalpindi (Gastro Project Phase-II) at the cost of PKR. 499.794 Million
- Establishment of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at Bahawalpur (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 2943.013 Million
- Lahore Tourist Bus Service (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 239.378 Million
- Construction of Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control & Communication (PPIC3) Centre at Qurban Lines, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 605.630 Million
