The PDWP Approved Four Development Scheme of Various Sectors

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved four development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of PKRs. 4870.07 million.

The schemes were approved in the 24th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17. Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.      

According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:

  • Construction of Surface Water Treatment Plant at Jhang Branch Canal, Faisalabad (PPP Mode) (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 18.000 Million
  • Construction of bridge over River Chenab at Shahbazpur to connect District Gujrat with District Sialkot in District Gujrat at the cost of PKR. 3926.760 Million
  • Re-habilitation of Sadhoke to Baigpur lenght: 23.00 km Road, District Gujranwala at the cost of PKR. 421.646 Million
  • Rehabilitation/widening of road from Buchal Kalan to Lillah, length: 25.00 km (Phase-I lenght: 13 km) District Chakwal at the cost of PKR. 503.664 Million
