The PDWP Approved Six Development Schemes of Various Development Sectors

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved six development schemes of various development sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 19621.736 Million.

These schemes were approved in the 15th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi. Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.

According to spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:

  • Changa Pani Program (Phase-II)/ Community Participation Program at the cost of PKR. 333.266 Million
  • Extension of Chaudhary Pervez Elahi Institute of Cardiology Multan (Construction of New OPD and 208 bedded Inpatient Block) at the cost of PKR. 2013.330 Million
  • Establishment of Zoo at Multan (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 7.700 Million
  • Punjab Cultural Heritage and Economic Growth Project at the cost of PKR. 5007.000 Million
  • Land Records Management and Information Systems Project (Phase-I) (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 12,260.480 Million
  • GIS Integrated Computerization of Urban Immovable Property Tax (UIPT) System in Thirty Districts of Punjab was in principally approved during the meeting
