The Punjab Government approved sixteen development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 6849.140 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 18th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, says P&D spokesman. Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to spokesman for P&D, the approved development schemes included:
- Feasibility regarding Public Private Partnership initiatives for development of Wildlife in Punjab (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 3.000 Million
- Study to recommend the most feasible option for treatment of Hudiara Drain Wastewaters (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 21.32 Million
- Capacity building of Directorate General of Archaeology, Lahore (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 1.700 Million
- Aao Parhain Project (APP) at the cost of PKR. 655.758 Million
- Establishment of Pediatric Cancer Unit, Children Hospital, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 262.784 Million
- Up-Gradation of DHQ Hospital Narowal (from 125 Beds to 300 Beds) at the cost of PKR. 679.535 Million
- Extension of Choudhery Parvez Elahi Institute of Cardiology Multan (Construction of New OPD & Inpatient Block) at the cost of PKR. 1944.526 Million
- Rehabilitation of road from Raiwind Phatak to Sui-Asal Upto Ferozepur Road, length: 17.47 km, Phase-I (No.0.00 to 7.62= 7.62 km) District Lahore at the cost of PKR. 256.207 Million
- Widening/improvement of Road From Madina to Awan Sharif Total length: 33.50 kms (in three phases) in District Gujrat at the cost of PKR. 485.650 Million
- Widening/rehabilitation of Sarwar Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider to Ghousia Chowk Bhatta length: 17.37 km Tehsil Gujar Khan District Rawalpindi at the cost of PKR. 267.505 Million
- Construction of road from Seela Sayydan to Kotli Sattian Via Bheer Gala Lenght: 31.60 km Tehsil Kotli Sattian District Rawalpindi at the cost of PKR. 264.703 Million
- Construction of road from Bhatiot to Village Nawa length: 12 km, District Attock at the cost of PKR. 302.368 Million
- Widening/improvement of road from Ouderwal to Nila Road length: 43.00 km District Chakwal at the cost of PKR. 545.989 Million
- Widening/improvement/construction of road from Laksian Pull No. 130 of Lahore Sargodha Bannu Road to Lilliani Via Jala Makhdoom, Ghous Muhammad Wala, Miana Khoh, Matila, Chak No. 67/SB length 36.25 km in District Sargodha at the cost of PKR. 843.112 Million
- Feasibility study for bringing Wastelands of Thal, Pothohar and Cholistan Areas under Cultivation through a Comprehensive Strategy at the cost of PKR. 39.983 Million
- Management of fruit fly with special reference to non-conventional methods at the cost of PKR. 275.000 Million
