The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved ten development schemes of development sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 9635.274 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 35th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
- Comprehensive Sewerage Scheme Chenab Nagar, Tehsil Lalian, Chiniot at the cost of PKR. 719.752 million
- Construction of PCC/tuff tiles/sewerage and drainage scheme in PP-163, Muridke, Sheikhupura at the cost of PKR. 373.950 Million
- UC Atawa, UC Rakh Kikrana Wali drainage, sewerage and PCC, Gujranwala at the cost of PKR. 280.818 Million
- Capacity building and strengthening of Directorate General of Mines & Minerals, Punjab Lahore at the cost of PKR. 168.11 Million
- Southern Punjab Poverty Alleviation Project (SPPAP) (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 4597.559 Million
- Construction of “Shahbaz Sharif Ring Road” on both sides of canal alongwith street lights starting from Muhammad Nagar to Luddan Road in Burewala City length: 15.90 km (Phase-I from No. 0.00 to 7.10 km, length: 7.10 km) District Vehari at the cost of PKR. 304.782 Million
- Widening/improvement of Jand Pindigheb Road via Dhoke Lahm Tehsil Jand and Pindigheb, length: 33.51 km District Attock. (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 737.015 Million
- Construction of approach road from Iqbalabad to Indus Bridge Linking N-55 at Arbi Tibba Chowk, length: 22.73 Km District R.Y. Khan. (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 889.244 Million
- Widening/improvement of road from Vehari to Hasilpur length: 48.68 km, District Vehari/Bahawalpur. (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 1080.877 Million
- Construction of dual carriageway with green belt and lights from Cantt Baker to Railway Station via Chowk Munir Shaheed, length: 2.65 km, Bahawalpur. (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 483.167 Million
