The Punjab Government approved fourteen development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 12155.173 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 19th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, says P&D spokesman. Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to spokesman for P&D, the approved development schemes included:
- Feasibility Study for Installation of Cable Cars (Murree) (Phase-I) (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 188.52 Million
- Development of Eco-Tourism in Soan Valley at Khabeki and Uchali Lake District Khushab at the cost of PKR. 200.715 Million
- Installation of Chairlift from Khar to Fort Monore District D.G. Khan at the cost of PKR. 849.726 Million
- Feasibility Study and Design for Development of Surface Parking at Chitta More Murree (also for Parking Facilities at General Bus Stand, Lower Topa, Bansara Gali and IDMC-I)-Feasibility Study (Phase-I) (3rd Revised PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 70.693 Million
- Urban Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Improvement Project (Package-II, III, IV) at the cost of PKR. 1701.710 Million
- Laying of R.C.C. sewer from Shoukat Khanam Hospital Chowk to Sattu Katla Conduit Drain, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 1672.000 Million
- Feasibility Study for construction of Solar Power Plant for WASA Faisalabad (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 15.29 Million
- Groundwater Monitoring, Management and Regulation in Punjab (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 75.00 Million
- Rehabilitation of Ahmadpur Branch with its System at the cost of PKR. 1897.026 Million, Concrete Lining of Bahishti Disty RD:0-64300 (Tail) and its System, Muzaffargarh at the cost of PKR. 335.61 Million
- Construction of Sowerra Dam Project in District Attock at the cost of PKR. 918.882 Million
- Rehabilitation/raising of Qibla Bandi Dam, District Attock at the cost of PKR. 324.896 Million, Management of Hill Torrents in Irrigation Zone, D.G. Khan-Sori Lund, Vidore, Mithawan, Kaha & Chachar (Vidore Hill torrents, Chhabar, Phulaar & Suchani Branch) at the cost of PKR. 3071.862 Million
- Rehabilitation of Drainage System of Development Division in District Bahawalnagar at the cost of PKR. 833.243 Million
