The Punjab Government on Tuesday has approved twelve development schemes with an estimated cost of PKR. 38099.649 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 29th meeting of Provincial Development working Party of current fiscal year 2013-14 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, says P&D Spokesman. Provincial Secretary P&D Arif Anwar Baloch, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman P&D, the approved development schemes included:
- Acquisition of land for establishment of Garment Industrial Zone (GIZ), District Sheikhupura for the Cost of PKR. 2538.830 Million
- Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metrobus Project, land acquisition and shifting of utilities at the cost of PKR. 2957.000 Million
- Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metrobus Project, Package-I: Flashman Hotel Committee Chowk (length: 2.9 km) at the cost of PKR. 5670.671 Million
- Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metrobus Project, Package-II: Committee Chowk to Sixth Road (length: 3.2 km) at the cost of PKR. 4937.757 Million
- Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metrobus Project, Package-III: Sixth Road to IJP Road (length: 2.5 km) at the cost of PKR. 4460.421 Million
- Design, supply, fabrication, installation, commissioning, testing and operation and maintenance of Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Filtration Plants (740 Nos.) under Saaf Pani Project (SPP) in Thirty (30) Districts of Punjab at the cost of PKR. 8567.980 Million
- Design, supply, fabrication, installation, commissioning, testing and operation and maintenance of Ultra Filtration (UF) Water Filtration Plants (739 Nos.) under Saaf Pani Project (SPP) in Thirty (30) Districts of Punjab at the cost of PKR. 4421.123 Million
- Provision of Ambulances for DHQs / THQs and ambulances for cardiac patients at the cost of PKR. 433.702 Million
- Provision of missing facilities/specialties for up-gradation of DHQ Hospital Dera Ghazi Khan into Teaching Hospital Dera Ghazi Khan at the cost of PKR. 2390.830 Million
- Construction of Minister’s Block at old Labour Department Site in Punjab Civil Secretariat, Lahore at the cost of PKR. 851.189 Million
- Construction of Judicial Complex at Wazirabad, District Gujranwala at the cost of PKR. 379.598 Million
- Preparatory Work For Ravi River Front Urban Development Project (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 490.548 Million
