The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved two development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 5383.507 million.
The schemes were approved in the 26th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
- Promotion of High Value Agriculture through Provision of Climate Smart Technology Package at the cost of PKR. 4884.13 Million
- Widening/improvement of road from Heera Adda to Ghalloo More Ladhana and Pir Jaggi Sharif, Tehsil Layyah (length: 37.80 km) (G-I 0.00 to 20.00 km, length: 20.00, K-II 20.00 to 37.80 km, length:17.80 km), Layyah at the cost of PKR. 499.377 Million
