The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved four development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of PKR. 4171.669 Million.
These schemes were approved in the 70th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over the Punjab Chairman P&D Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. All members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
The approved development schemes included:
- Construction of Sheikh Zayed Medical Complex (Phase-II/A), R.Y. Khan (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 1520.881 Million
- Provision of Additional Class Rooms in Schools in Tehsils i.e. Bahawalpur, Ahmedpur East, Khairpur Tamewali, Hasilpur, Bahawalnagar & Chishtian (Phase-I) (Amended) at the cost of PKR. 2630.788 Million
- Construction of Multipurpose Parking Plaza with International Level Hostel for Players, Five Star Hotel and Museum in Nishtar Park Sports Complex, Lahore (PPP Mode (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 10.000 Million
- Establishment of Sports Complex at Multan (PPP Mode) (PC-II) at the cost of PKR. 10.000 Million
