Federal Minister PD&SI Visits Planning and Development Board
Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Mr. Ahsan Iqbal convened a meeting at the Planning and Development Board (P&DB) to review the implementation status of the Annual Development Program (ADP 2022-23) and the process of formulation of (ADP 2023-24).
A presentation was given to the Federal Minister about the budget allocation, completion of development schemes, utilization, sectoral wise allocation, the current status of SMDP, and releases by P&DB. The Federal Minister said that despite the harsh financial conditions and limited financial capacity, the government is committed to the welfare of the people.He further said that concerted efforts will be made through planning to achieve development goals and make Punjab a flourishing province. The Federal Minister asked the relevant authorities to create such programs and initiatives that would aid the most vulnerable people in the province and solve long-standing regional inequality. Chairman P&D Board Mr. Ali Sarfraz Hussain, Secretary P&D Board Mr. Sohail Anwar, Secretaries of departments (HUD&PHE, SHC&ME, P&SHD, C&W, HED, LG&CD), and other officials participated. 29.05.2023
