A meeting regarding "Exploring Avenues for Securing Carbon Credit Financing in Punjab" was held under the Chairmanship of Chairman P&D Board Mr Iftikhar Ali Sahoo at the P&D Board.
The purpose of the meeting was to seek advice from specialists and stakeholders from different departments regarding the establishment of programmes to reduce carbon emissions through forestry projects, as well as the identification of appropriate regions and kinds of carbon crediting schemes.
Secretary Forest, Mr. Muddasir Waheed Malik, Member Environment, P&D Board, Mr. Ahmed Aziz Tarar, Senior Environment Specialist WB Mr. Christopher James Warner, Chief Environment, Ms. Saba Asghar, Deputy Programme Coordinator, PGDP, Ms. Ahad Yousaf Khan, representatives from RUDA, and others attended the meeting. 03.11.2023
