Secretary P&D Board, Dr. Asif Tufail, met with the USAID IPA team led by Ms. Afsheen Shakoor to discuss the priorities of the Government of Punjab and explore further opportunities for collaboration.
The discussion highlighted the government's efforts to boost investment and trade in Punjab, including promoting public-private partnerships (PPP) to support businesses and attract foreign donors.
The Chair instructed representatives from the relevant departments to develop new collaborative ideas for upcoming meetings with USAID.
Key participants included Joint Chief Economist Mr. Ahmad Kamal Mann, Deputy Secretary/AC ECA Mr. Omar Randhawa, BEE Team Lead USAID Ms. Sonia Sethi, USAID Lahore Team Lead Ms. Arshiq Bano, and representatives from P&D Board, ICI&SDD and PRMP.
