The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP), in its 2nd meeting for the fiscal year 2025–26, approved nine major development schemes with a cumulative estimated cost of Rs. 52,357.361 million. The meeting was presided over by Chairman, Planning & Development Board, Punjab, Dr. Naeem Rauf. The newly approved schemes focus on 🌾 agriculture modernization, 🧑🎓 youth empowerment, 🏗️ infrastructure development, and 📈 improved service delivery across Punjab. 🔹 Highlights of Approved Schemes: 1. ☀️ Chief Minister’s Program for Solarization of Agricultural Tubewells in Punjab (2024–25 to 2025–26) [Revised] – Rs. 7,229.186 million 2. 🎓 Internship Scheme for Agriculture Graduates (2024–25 to 2025–26) [Revised] – Rs. 2,155.770 million 3. Chief Minister Punjab Kissan Card (2024–25 to 2025–26) – Rs. 9,868.869 million 4. 🚜 Chief Minister’s Punjab Green Tractor Program (Phase-II) – Rs. 5,076.282 million 5. Chief Minister’s Punjab Hi-Power Tractor Programme – Rs. 9,580.234 million 6. 🌱 Transformation of Agriculture in Pothohar – Rs. 7,000 million 7. 🏢 Establishment of Project Implementation & Management Unit (PIMU) / PRMSC and Service Delivery Units (SDUs) [Revised] – Rs. 4,030.608 million 8. 🚇 Construction of Underpass at GPO Chowk & TM Chowk on Mall Road, including Pedestrian Underpass near AFIC, Rawalpindi – Rs. 5,551.972 million 9. 🛣️ Widening of Road from District Complex to Kakuwal Bridge along Gujrat Branch, including Flyover, Mandi Bahauddin – Rs. 1,864.440 million 👥 The meeting was attended by Secretary P&D Board Mr. Rafaqat Ali, Secretary Agriculture Mr. Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, Secretary C&W Mr. Sohail Ashraf, Chief Economist Mr. Masood Anwar, members of the P&D Board, and other senior officers.
