The Punjab PDWP Approved Five Development Schemes of Road Sector

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved five development schemes of Road sector with an estimated cost of PKR. 8660.384 Million.

These schemes were approved in the 14th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2017-18 presided by the Chairman P&D Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.      

The approved development schemes included:

  • Widening/improvement of Pattoki Kanganpur Road length: 54.10 km District Kasur (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 1131.148 Million
  • Dualization of Kasur Depalpur Carriageway section from 0.00 to 98.95 km, length: 98.95 kms, Kasur and Okara (Revised) at the cost of PKR. 5961.671 Million
  • Construction/widening and improvement of road from Chowk 177 Murad to Chunan Wala via Chak No. 204/M, 203/M, 205/M, 206/M, 207/M & 209/M alongwith Adda 177/Murad to Pansota Chowk Via 167/M Mor, 138/M & 140/M length: 27.20 km, Bahawalnagar at the cost of PKR. 534.177 Million
  • Construction of metalled road from Layyah Garh Maha Raja Road to Ameer Kalasra length: 50 km, Layyah at the cost of PKR. 450.000 Million
  • Construction of flyover/overhead bridge at Railway Crossing on Lodhran Jalalpur Road in Lodhran at the cost of PKR. 1165.422 Million
  • Construction of road from Ghulla to Mangwal length: 18 km, Chakwal at the cost of PKR. 583.388 Million
